Inventors Beware - Read This --- Updated 5/9/2011!

Update: These people are still in business -- do your homework!! From the website as of April 15th, 2011, showing their figures for the previous five years: of the 618,836 consumers who submitted their ideas, and the 51,414 who signed a contract, " The total number of consumers in the last five years who made more money in royalties than they paid, in total, under any and all agreements with Davison, is seventeen (17)." Click here to read it on their web site.
Invention promotion scams cost inventors an estimated $300 million a year. Make sure that you, your ideas, and your money, don't get taken. We assumed some real punishment was dealt by the FTC: Defendants in this case were Davison & Associates Inc., now known as Davison Design and Development, Inc., Manufacturer's Support Services, Inc., George M. Davison, President and CEO, Thomas Dowler, Gordon M. Davison and Barbara Miele-Davison. The defendants are based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but have operated nationwide. Here's a link to the USPTO site about it: Court Halts Bogus Invention Promotion Claims Orders $26 Million in Redress For Consumers; USPTO’s Director Jon Dudas Praises Court Decision.

Here's an article on MSNBC.COM that will help to educate: Got an invention? You, too, can be scammed.
